I've come to a conclusion that many don't exactly take me seriously. I tend to say stupid shit and joke around a lot and I'm pretty sure I'm capable of making you laugh.. But am I able to get you to think? Am I able to get you to consider my opinions and perhaps alter the way you view things?

That phrase seriously needs to go. Like, yeah I understand that sometimes it's used for laughs and it can be funny but now people actually mean it. Almost half the people on my list have that shit on their away messages lol.

I didn't go anywhere with this blog but alll I'm trying to say is 'FML' is stupid.

There are times when one wants something so badly he/she would go out of his/her way to obtain it. Referring to the novel I'm currently reading, The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch, the author repeatedly brings up his theory of wanting something very much. He says that when we want something that is hard to get, it's blocked by a brick wall (metaphor..). There is a brick wall there for a reason; to keep those who don't want it badly enough out. But is it true that if you work hard enough, you'll get what you want? Does the brick wall theory conclude with all situations? Many would agree that yes, if you work hard to get something, you'll get it in the end. I honestly think that theory doesn't work for everything. I believe in destiny--If you're not meant to have something, you're never going to get it. But of course, people don't know what they're meant to have or not which is why they try it out by attempting to go over the brick wall. I know it sounds a bit negative but sometimes when one wants something, it's either he/she gets it soon, later on, or don't receive it period. For example, let's say you want to be with a certain someone.. You try your hardest to get them to notice you and realize that you two are extremely compatible since you guys have the same interests.. But the thing is, he/she really isn't interested in you. What the hell are you supposed to do? Beg him/her to like you? Uhh, no. Ever think that the reason why it didn't work out between the two of you is because there's someone out there you're truly supposed to be with? Someone you don't have to impress and change your interests for in order for you two to have something to talk about? To sum it up, perhaps the reason why you didn't get what you want right now is because you're not meant to have it right now or you're not meant to have it at all.. Late.
